anadi kal se hi hindu dharm men anek prakar ki manyataon ka samavesh raha hai. vicharon ki prakhrta evan vidvanon ke nirantar chintan se manyataon v asthaon men bhi parivartan hua. kya in manyataon v asthaon ka kuch vaigyanik adhar bhi hai? yah prashn baranbar buddhijivi pathkon ke man ko kachotta hai. dharmagranthon ko uddhrit karkeeeee ‘babavakya pramanam’ kahne ka yug ab samapt ho gaya hai. dharmik manyataon par samyak chintan karna aj ke yug ki atyant avashyak pukar ho chuki hai. prashna: yagyaopvit kyon? uttara: yagyaopvit shabd ‘yagya’ aur ‘upvit’ in do shabdon se bana hai jiska arth hai- yagya ko prapt karne vala. arthat jisko dharan karne se vyakti ko sarvavidh yagya karne ka adhikar prapt ho jata hai use yagyaopvit kahte hain. yagyaopvit dharan kiye bina kisi ko vedpath ya gayatrijap ka adhikar prapt nahin hota hai. upanayan uparyukt sanskar ka paryayvachi shabd hai jiska arth hota hai, aisa sanskar jiske dvara balak guru ke samip le jaya jata hai. prashna: janeu shabd se kya tatparya hai? uttara: vastutah yagya shabd ka apar paryayvachi hai- ‘yajn’ so yakar chorakar ‘jan’ aur upvit ke ‘u’ matra jorne se ‘janeu’ shabd jo ki yagyaopvit ka hi sankshipt sanskaran hai. lok vyavhar v apabhransh ke rup men gramin anchal men aj bhi log yagyaopvit ko hi janeu, janoi vagairah kahte hain. prashna: brahmasutra kyon? uttara: yagyaopvit ko hi brahmasutra kahte hain kyonki is sutra ke pahnne se vyakti brahm ke prati samarpit ho jata hai, isliye ise ‘brahmasutra’ bhi kaha jata hai. yah bal, ayu tatha tej ko dene vala sutra kaha gaya hai. yagyaopvit ko vratbandh bhi kaha jata hai kyonki iske pahnte hi vyakti anek prakar ke vrat-niyamon men bandh jata hai v drirhapratigya ho jata hai. prashna: maunjibandhan kyon? uttara: upanayan sanskar men manujmekhla brahmachari ke kamar par bandhi jati hai. is pavan sanskar ki smriti men upanayan ko maunjibandhan sanskar bhi kaha jata hai. prashna: yagyaopvit kab badlen aur kyon? uttara: tut jane par, ghar men kisi ke janm ya mrityu ho jane par, rajasvala, chandal v shav adi se sparsh ho jane par, shravni karm, surya-chandra grahan ke bad, kshaurakarm ke pashchat snanpurvak vidhi ke sath yagyaopvit avashya badlna chahiye kyonki in sab paristhitiyon men yagyaopvit apvitra ho jata hai. prashna: laghushanka v dirgh shanka ke samay janeu kanon par kyon? uttara: prathmtah laghu v dirgh shanka kal men brahmasutra ko apvitrata se bachane ke liye kanon dvara upar khinch liya jata hai. dusra karan yah hai ki laukik drishti se kan par yagyaopvit hone se manushya ke apvitra hath-panv hone ka sanket chihn hai jise dekhakar vyakti dur se hi samajh jata hai ki amuk vyakti jab tak mitti adi se hath manjakar shuddhi adi n kar le tab tak vah asprishya hai. prashna: laghu shanka ke samay janeu dayen kan par hi kyon? uttara: shastrakaron ne dahine kan ko jyada mahattva diya hai. kaha gaya hai- ‘aditya vasvo rudra, vayuragnishch gharyarat. viprasya dakshine karne, nityan tishthanti devtaah..’ arthat brahman ke dahine kan men devtaon ka nivas hai atah pavitrata ke mahan kendra par janeu rakhne ka vidhan shastriya maryadaon ke anukul hai.
