atyant mahattva hai kintu vidvanon dvara
yagyaopvit sanskar ka vishesh mahattva
mana gaya hai. vyas smriti dvara kahe
gaye solah sanskaron men yagyaopvit
sanskar ka vedokt varnashram dharm ke
sath atyant gahra sanbandh hai. samasta
sanskar varnashram vyavastha aur vaidik
sanatan dharm ki adharshila mane
gaye hain. vedon men varnashram ka spashta
rup se ullekh hua hai. purush sukta
men char varna-brahman, kshatriya, vaishya
evan shudra ki utpatti virat purush ke
vibhinn angon se hone ka ullekh
prapt hota hai.
yagyaopvit sanskar ki vidhi
yagyaopvit sanskar ka parivar ke
liye vishesh mahattva hota hai. isliye
yagyaopvit sanskar ko sanpann karne
men sabhi men utsah tatha prasannata ka
bhav hota hai. chunki is sanskar ke
sath hi balak ka dusra janm mana
jata hai, is sanskar ke pashchat hi
vah balak dharmik karyon ko sanpanna
karne ke yogya banta hai, is karn
sabhi is sanskar men utsah ke sath
pravritt hote hain. dharmashastron men kisi
bhi manglik karyon ko sanpann karne
ke pahle punyahvachan karne ka
nirdesh hai. yagyaopvit sanskar men bhi
punyahvachan ke pashchat balak ke
bal katva kar snan karvaya jata
hai, naye vastra pahnaye jate hain. iske
pashchat balak ko agni ke samaksha
bithakar havan karaya jata hai. tab
balak ko yagyaopvit (janeu) pahna
kar gayatri mantra ka updesh karvaya
jata hai. pahle is samay balk
ko vishesh prakar ke vastra pahnakr
ek naya vesh dharan karaya jata
tha. ismen tan ko dhankne ke liye
mrigacharm, kamar men munj mekhla tatha
dayen hath men palashdand diya jata
tha. in samast vastuon ko dharn
karaye jane ka vishesh arth hota tha
jiska bhav is prakar hai- deh ki
raksha karne ke liye, drirh nishchay se
man ko niyantrit rakhte hue arthat
brahmacharya ka palan karte huye ved
vidya prapt karna. iske pashchat
agni ke uttar ki or acharya purva
ki taraf mukh karke baithte hain aur
apne pas hi balak ko bitha lete
hain. acharya apne hathon ki hatheliyon
ko milakar anjli banate hain.
balak bhi isi prakar se anjli
banakar acharya ki anjli ke niche
rakhta hai. tab acharya apni anjli
men jal bharte hain aur thora-thora
balak ki anjli men girate hain.
iska tatparya yah hai ki acharya
apni samast shiksha is prakar
dhire-dhire karke balak ko denge aur
balak is shiksha ko isi prakar se
grahan karega. is kriya ke sanpanna
ho jane ke pashchat acharya balk
ka dayan hath thamakar kahte hain ki
savita ne tera hath thama hai aur
agni tere acharya hain. iska gurh
arth yah lagaya jata hai ki acharya
yagyaopvit dharan karne vale balk
ko apne sath ashram le jayenge aur
vah use ved vidya sikhayenge. yah
ved vidya bhagvan surya tatha agni
devta ki kripa se hi prapt karni
hai. iske bad acharya balak ko
bhagvan surya ko pranam karne ko
kahte hain kyonki vahi sabko prakash
arthat gyan dene vale devta hain. tab
acharya bhagvan surya ko pranam karte
hain aur surya ko sanbodhit karte huye
kahte hain- ‘ he savita dev, ab yah
balak apka brahmachari hai, iski
raksha karen. is kriya ke pashchat
balak surya evan agni adi devtaon
se buddhi, bal tatha sadgunon ko dene
ki prarthana karta hai. iske bad
acharya balak ko hriday par dayan
hath rakhakar kahte hain ki ‘main jis
sadachar vrat ka palan karta hun, tu
uska anusaran kare. mere chitt ka
anusaran tera chitt karta rahe. meri
vani jaisi hi teri vani ho. vidya
ke dev brihaspati tujhe sanpurn vidyaon
se purn karen.’
iske pashchat balak guru ke pas
rahakar barah varsh tak arthat vidya
purn hone tak vidya grahan karta rahe.
tab balak ved vidya tatha dharm ka
gyan prapt karke aur brahmacharyashram ko
pura karke guru agya se grihasthashram men pravesh karta hai.
