punsavan vrat margashirsh shukla pratipda se praranbh hokar margashirsha ki amavasya ko purn hota hai. shri shukdev ji ne raja parikshit ko is vrat ka varnan sunate hue kaha tha ki yah vrat samast kamnaon ko purn karne vala hai. stri ko chahie ki vah apne pati ki agya lekr yah vrat praranbh kare. pahle marudgana ke janm ki katha sunakar brahmanon se agya le, fir pratidin pratah kal dantun kar ke snan kare, do safed vastra dharan kare aur abhushan bhi pahn le. bina khaye-piye hi pratahkal men bhagvan lakshminarayan ki puja kare. is prakar prarthana kare- ‘prabho! ap purn kam hain, ataev apko kisi se bhi kuch lena-dena nahin hai. ap samast vibhutiyon ke svami aur sakl siddhi svarup hain. main apko bar-bar namaskar karti hun. mata lakshmi ji! ap bhagvan ki adrdhangini aur mahamaya svarupini hain. bhagvan ke sare gun kripa, vibhuti, tej, mahima aur virya ap men nivas karte hain. mahabhagyavti jaganmata! ap mujh par prasann hon. main apko bar-bar namaskar karti hun.’ is prakar stuti karke ekagrachiÿa se- ‘¬ namo bhagvte mahapurushay mahanubhavay mahavibhutiptye sah mahavibhutibhirbalimuphrani’ mantra ke dvara pratidin vishnu bhagvan ka avahan, aghrya, padya, achaman, snan, vastra, yagyaopvit, abhushan, gandh, pushp, dhup, dip aur naivedya adi nivedn karke pujan kare. jo naivedya bacha rah jae usse- ‘¬ namo bhagvte mahapurushay mahavibhutiptye svaha’ mantra bolakar agni men barah ahutiyan de. is prakar param vardani bhagvan lakshminarayan ki stuti karke vahan se naivedya hata de aur achaman karke puja kare. tadnantar bhaktibhav se bhagvan ki stuti kare aur yagyavshesh ko sunghakar fir bhagvan ki puja kare. bhagvan ki puja ke bad apne pati ko sakshat bhagvan samjhkr param prem se uski priya vastuen seva men upasthit kare. pati ka bhi yah kartavya hai ki vah antrik prem se apni patni ke priya padarth la-lakr use de aur uske chote-bare sab prakar ke kam karta rahe. pati-patni men se ek bhi koi kam karta hai, to uska fal donon ko hota hai. islie yadi patni (rajodharm adi ke samy) yah vrat karne ke ayogya ho jae to pati ko hi puri ekagrata aur savadh aani se iska anushthan karna chahie. yah bhagvan vishnu ka vrat hai. iska sankalp lekar bich men kabhi nahin chorna chahie. jo bhi yah niyam grahan kare, vah pratidin mala, chandan, naivedya aur abhushan adi se bhaktipurvak brahmanon aur suhaginon ka pujan kare tatha bhagvan vishnu ki bhi puja kare. iske bad bhagvan ko unke dham men padhra de, visarjan kar de. tadnantar atmashuddhi aur samast abhilashaon ki purti ke lie pahle se hi unhen nivedit kiya hua prasad grahan kare. sadhvi stri is vidhi se pure sal bhar is vrat ka palan karke margashirsh ki amavasya ko udyapan sanbandhi upvas aur pujan adi kare. us din pratah kal hi snan karke purvavat vishnu bhagvan ka pujan kare aur uska pati pakayagya ki vidhi se ghrit mishrit khir ki agni men barah bar ahuti de. iske bad jab brahman prasanna hokar use ashirvad de, to bare adr se sir jhukakar use svikar kare. bhaktibhav se matha tekakar unke charnon men pranam kare. pahle acharya ko bhojn karae, fir brahman v acharya ki agya lekar maun hokar bhai-bandhuon ke sath svayan bhojan kare. iske bad havan se bachi hui ghritmishrit khir apni patni ko de. vah prasad stri ko satputra aur saubhagyavan karne vala hota hai. shri shukdev ji kahte hain- ‘parikshit! bhagvan vishnu ke is punsavan vrat ka jo manushya vidhipurvak anushthan karta hai, use yahin uski manchahi vastu rapt ho jati hai. stri is vrat ka palan karke saubhagya, santan, sanpÿia, yash aur man prapt karti hai tatha uska pati chirayu ho jata hai. is vrat ka anushthan karne vali kanya sanpurn shubh lakshanon se yukt pati prapta karti hai aur vidhva is vrat se nishpap hokar vaikunth men jati hai. jiske bachche mar jate hon, vah stri iske prabhav se chirayu putra prapt karti hai. dhanvti kintu abhagini stri ko saubhagya prapt hota hai aur kurupi ko sundar rup mil jata hai. rogi is vrat ke prabhav se rogmukt hokr balishth sharir aur shreshth indriyashakti prapt kar leta hai. jo manushya shraddhakarmon men iska path karta hai, uske pitr aur devta anant tripti labh prapta karte hain. ve santusht hokar havan ke samapt hone par vrati ki sabhi kamnaen purn kar dete hain. ve sab to santushta hote hi hain, samast yagyaon ke ekmatra bhokta bhagvan lakshminarayan bhi santushta ho jate hain aur vrati ki sabhi abhilashaen puri kar dete hain. is divya vrat ka anushthan maharshi kashyap ji ne diti ko bataya tha, jiske karne se diti ko unchas marudgan ki prapti hui thi. marudagan utpaÿia ki katha is prakar hai. marudgan janm katha shri shukdev ji kahne lage- ‘parikshit! bhagvan vishnu ne indra ka paksh lekr diti ke donon putron hiranyaksh aur hiranyakshipu ko mar dala. atah diti shok v krodh se yukt hokr is prakar sochne lagi ‘sachmuch indra bara vishyi, krur aur nirdayi hai. ram! ram! usne apne bhaiyon ko hi marva dala! vah din kab aega, jab main bhi us papi ko marvakar aram se soungi. ab main vah upay karungi, jisse mujhe aisa putra prapt ho, jo indra ka ghamand chur-chur kar de. diti apne man men aisa vichar karke seva-shushrusha, vinay, prem aur jitendriyata adi ke dvara nirantar apne pati ke hriday ka ek-ek bhav janti rahti thi aur param prembhav, manohar evan madhur bhashan tatha muskan bhari tirchi chitavan se unka man apni or akarshit karti rahti thi. kashyap ji maharaj bare vidvan aur vicharvan hone par bhi chatur diti ki seva se mohit ho gae aur unhonne vivshtah yah svikar karte hue kaha ki- ‘main tumhari ichcha purn karunga’. anindya sundari priye! main tum par prasanna hanu. tumhari jo ichcha ho, mujhse mang lo. pati ke prasann ho jane par patni ke lie koi bhi vastu lok ya parlok men durlabh nahin hai. shastron men spashta ullekh hai ki pati hi striyon ka parmaradhya ishtadev hai. striyon ke lie svayan bhagvan ne pati ka rup dharn kiya hai. priye! lakshmipti bhagvan vasudev samast praniyon ke hriday men virajman hain. kalyani! tumne bare prembhav se, bhakti se pativratya dharma ka palan karne vali pativrata striyon ki hi tarah ananyabhav se meri puja ki hai. yahi stri ka dharm hai. pati hi uska parmeshvar hai. ab main tumhari sabhi abhilashaen purn kar dunga. astiyon ke jivan men aisa hona atyant kathin hai.’ diti ne kaha- ‘brahmana! indra ne vishnu ke hathon mere do putron ko marvakr mujhe niputi bana diya hai. islie yadi ap mujhe munh manga var dena chahte hain, to kripa karke ek aisa amar putra dijie, jo indra ko mar dale. diti ki bat sunakar kashyap ji khinn hokar pachtane lage. ve man hi man kahne lage- ‘hay! hay! aj mere jivan men bahut bare adharm ka avasar a pahuncha. stri rupini maya ne mere chiÿa ko apne vash men kar liya hai. avashya hi ab mujhe narak men girna parega. is stri ka koi dosh nahin hai, kyonki isne to apne janmajat svabhav ka hi anusrn kiya hai. ab to main kah chuka hun ki jo tum mangogi, dunga. meri bat asatya nahin honi chahie. kashyap ji gahan vichar-vimarsh ke bad bole- ‘devi! yadi tum mere batlae hue vrat ka ek varsh tak vidhipurvak palan karogi’ to tumhen indra ko marne vala putra prapt hoga. parantu yadi kisi prakar niyamon men truti ho gai to devtaon ka mitra ban jaega. diti ne kaha- ‘svami! main us vrat ka palan karungi. ap mujhe sanpurna vidhi-vidhan samjhaie.’ kashyap ji ne kaha- ‘priye! is vrat men kisi bhi prani ko man, vani ya kriya ke dvara sataen nahin, kisi ko shap ya gali n de, asatya bhashan na kare, sharir ke nakh aur roen n kate aur kisi bhi ashubh vastu ka sparsha n kare. jal men ghusakar snan kare, krodh n kare, durjanon se batchit na kare, bina dhula vastra n pahne aur kisi ki pahni hui mala n pahne. jutha n khae, bhadrakali ka prasad ya mansyukt bhojan n kare. shudra ka laya hua aur rajasvala ka dekha hua ann bhi n khae aur anjli se jalpan n kare. juthe munh bina achmn kie sandhya ke samay, bal khole hue, bina shringar ke, vani ka sanyam kie bina aur bina chadar orhe ghar se bahar n nikle. bina pair dhoe, apvitra avastha men gile panvon se, uÿar ya pashchim sir karke, dusre ke sath, nagnavastha men tatha subh-sham sona nahin chahie. is prakar in nishiddha karmon ka tyag karke sarvada pavitra rahe aur sabhi saubhagya chihnon se susajjit rahe. pratahkal kaleva karne ke pahle hi gay, brahman, lakshmiji aur bhagvan narayan ki puja kare. iske bad pushpamala, chandnadi sugandh iat dravya, naivedya aur abhushnadi se suhaginon ki puja kare tatha pati ki puja karke uski seva men sanlagna rahe aur yah bhavna karti rahe ki pati ka tej meri kokh men sthit hai’. priye! is vrat ka nam ‘punsvn’ hai. yadi ek varsh tak tum ise bina kisi truti ke palan kar sakogi, to tumhari kokh se indraghati putra utpanna hoga.’ sarvasamarth kashyap ji ne tanik rusht hokar diti se man hi man apni bhatrsana karke donon bat banane ka upay sujha diya. shri shukdevji kahte hain- ‘rajan! diti bari manasvini aur drirh nishchay vali thi. usne ‘bahut achcha’ kahakar unki agya svikar kar vrat ke niyamon ka palan karna shuru kiya. tabhi devraj indra bhi apni mausi diti ka abhipray janakar bari buddhimani se apna bhesh badalakar diti ke ashram par akr unki seva is kamna ke sath karne lage ki diti ke vrat men koi truti ho jae, jisse yah vrat khandit ho jae. samyanusar pratidin indra bhi van se ful-fal, kanda-mul, samidha, kush, paÿo, dub, mitti aur jal lakr uski seva men samarpit karte rahe. vrat samay bhi purn hone ko tha parantu diti ke vrat niyamon men koi bhul nahin hui. indra vichlit ho gae. ve sochne lage- ‘main aisa kaun-sa upay karun, jisse mera kalyan ho?’ diti vrat ke niyamon ka paln karte-karte bahut durbal ho gai. vidhata ne bhi use moh men dal diya. islie ek din sandhya ke samy juthe munh, bina achaman kie aur bina pair dhoe hi vah so gai. yogeshvar indra ne svarnim avasar jan yogabal se diti ke garbh men praveshkr sone ke saman chamkte hue garbh ke braj ke dvara sat tukre kar die. jab vah garbh rone laga, tab unhonne ‘mat ro, mat ro’ kahakar saton tukron men se ek-ek ke aur bhi sat tukre kar die. indra jab unke tukre-tukre karne lage, tab un sabhi ne hath jorakar unse kaha- ‘devraj! tum hamen kyon mar rahe ho? ham to tumhare bhai marudgan hain.’ tab indra ne apne bhavi ananya premi parshad marudgan se kaha- ‘achchi bat hai, tum log mere bhai ho. ab mat daro.’ shri hari ki kripa se, jis prakar parikshit ashvatthama ke brahmastra se tumhari raksha hui, usi prakar unhin bhagvan shri hari ki kripa se diti ka garbh vajra ke dvara tukre-tukre hone par bhi mara nahin kyonki jo manushya ek bar bhi adi purush bhagvan narayan ki aradhna kar leta hai, vah unki samanta prapt kar leta hai, fir diti ne to kuch kam hi sahi ek varsh tak bhagvan ki aradhna ki thi. ab ve unchas marudgan indra ke sath milkr pachas ho gae. indra ne bhi sauteli mata ke putron ke sath shatrubhav na rakhakar unhen sompayi devta bana liya. jab diti ki ankh khuli tab usne dekha ki uske agni ke saman tejasvi unchas balak indra ke sath hain. isse sundar svabhav vali diti ko bari prasannata hui. diti ne tab indra ko sanbodhan karke kaha-‘beta! main is ichcha se is atyant kathin vrat ka palan kar rahi thi ki tum aditi ke putron ko bhaybhit karne vala putra utpann ho. mainne kevl ek hi putra ke lie sankalp kiya tha, fir ye unchas putra kaise ho gae? beta indra! yadi tumhen iska rahasya malum ho, to sach-sach mujhe batla do. jhuth n bolna.’ indra ne kaha- ‘mata! mujhe is bat ka pata chal gaya tha ki tum kis uddeshya se vrat ka palan kar rahi ho. isilie apna svarth siddh karne ke lie svarg chorakar adharm ki bhavna se yukt hokar tumhari seva men lin ho gaya. isi se tumhare vrat men truti hote hi mainne us garbh ke tukde-tukre kar die. tab ve saton tukre sat balak ban gae. iske bad fir mainne ek-ek ke sat-sat tukre kar die, tab bhi ve n mare. yah parm ashcharyamyi ghatna dekhakar mujhe vishvas ho gaya ki parmpurush bhagvan ki upasna ka hi yah divya fal hai. bhagvan jagdish sabke aradhyadev aur apne atma hi hain. ve prasanna hokar apne ap tak ka dan kar dete hain. meri snehmyi janni! tum sab prakar se meri pujya ho, mainne murkhatavash bari dushtata ka kam kiya hai. tum mere apradh ko kshama kar do. shri shukdev ji kahte hain- ‘parikshit! diti devraj indra ke shuddh bhav se santusht ho gayi. usse agya lekr devraj indra ne marudganon ke sath use namaskar kiya aur svarg chale gae.’ ‘rajan yah panusavan vrat v marudgana janm bara hi mangalamay hai. jo is punsavan vrat ka palan karta hai, uski sabhi kamnaen purn ho jati hain.’

devi lakshmi ko har prakar ka dhan evan samriddhi pradayak mana jata hai. adhunik vishva men sabki ichcha aramdeh evan vilasitapurn jivan jine ki hoti hai. pratyek vyakti kam se kam mehanat men adhik se adhik dhan kamane ki abhilasha rakhta hai iske lie devi lakshmi ki kripa evan inka ashirvad avashyak hai. dipavli aisa tyauhar hai jismen devi lakshmi ki puja anek tarikon se inhen khush karne ke uddeshya se ki jati hai taki inka ashirvad prapt kiya ja sake. fyuchar samachar ke vartaman ank men prabuddh lekhkon ne apne saragarbhit lekhon ke dvara devi lakshmi ko khush karne ke alag alag upay batae hain jisse ki devi unke ghar men dhan-dhanya ki varsha kar saken, achcha svasthya pradan karen tatha padonnati den. bahuayami mahatvapurn lekhon men sammilit hain: panch parva dipavli, lakshmi prapti ke achuk evan akhand upay, dosh tantra- niranjni kalp, lakshmi ko khush karne ke upay, dipavli par dhan prapt karne ke achuk upay, shri vaibhav samriddhidayini mahalakshmi archana yog, kyon nahin rukti man lakshmi, lakshmi prapti ke lie vibhinn prayog, dipavli ke 21 upay evan 21 chamatkar adi. iske atikti kuch sthayi kaelam ke lekh bhi upalabdh karae gaye hain.
