vriddhon ko manah sthiti men sanyam ko dene vala evan jagat ke manrup men janme pratyek jiv ko vivek se sanpann banane vala hai. manushya ke pas sabkuch hai, parantu budh ki kripa drishti nahin hai, banakar manav ka kalyan karti hai. uske jivan men budh ki prasannata ke karan hi asto ma sadgamay, tamso ma jyotirgamay, mrityoma'mritan gamay ka shri ganesh hokar purnatva ata hai. abhav, dainyata, riktata, apurnata ka nasht hona v bhav v purnata ko prapt karana yah budh ki seva se hi sanbhav hai. sanpurn sharir kriya shakti se yukt ho parantu mastak gyan shunya ho to sare karya nishfal ho jate hain iske viprit mastak gyan (chetna) se yukt ho v sharir kriya shakti shunya ho to bhi manav baithe-baithe dimag ki chetna se kathin se kathin karyon ko bhi siddh kar leta hai evan keval matra disha nirdesh ke dvara hi pragti path par agrasar hota hua dharm, arth, kam, moksh rupi purusharthon ko bhi sahaj men prapt kar jivan ko kritarth kar leta hai. budh hi jyotish, ganit (hisab), nach, vaidya (daktari) hasya (hansi majak), lakshmi, shilpakala, vidya, bauddhik karya (lekhan, adhyapak, kavitva, chitrakla adi), sangit, sanpadak, vakil, patrakar, sanvaddata, nyay sanbandhi karya, aushdhi, vyavsayik vibhag, sugandhit dravya, vastra, dal, ann, pakshi, panna, bhumi, natak, vigyan, dhatu kriya (rasayanagya), punyavrat (purohit, padri), dut, maya (thag), asatya karya, setu (pul) jalmarg (jahaj naukadi), jal sanbandhi karya, yantra karya, prasadhan karta (nai, byutisailun svami), jadugar, rakshadhikari, nat, ghi, tel, parivahan, dravya, khachchar adi ka karak grah hai. jyotish men budh chaturth bhav v dasham bhav ka karak hai. jua khelna, yuddh karna, kanya ke vivahadi ka nishchay karna, shatru evan ruthe hue mitron se sandhi karna adi aise anek karya budhvar ko shubh hote hain. budh grah balvan hoga to nishchay hi us vyakti ka path (marga) sukh se yukt v anand pradan karne vala hoga. budh ko balvan banane ke lie budh mantra ke jap, yagya, kavach, budh panchvinshti nam stotra ka path v budh ki vastuon ka dan tatha pannadi ratnon ka dharan karna labhkari rahega. budh grah ki shanti v bal pradan karne ke lie man durga ki upasna, mo sarasvati ki aradhna, ganesh pujan, hath karne laga. guru patni ne use bahut samjhaya par vah n mana. jab brihaspati ko yah bat malum hui to use shishya jan unhonne bahut samjhaya par chandrama ne fir bhi duragrah n chora. anttah vah yuddh ke lie tatpar hua. brihaspati ne bhi shastra sanbhale lekin yuddh men vah apne shishya chandrama se parast ho gaye. ab devtaon ne chandrama ko samjhaya lekin vah apne hath par ara raha. jab shivji ko chandrama ka yah anachar pata chala to ve krodhit ho uthe aur chandrama ko dand dene chal pare. chandrama fir bhi nahin mana. usne nakshatron, daityon, asuron ke sath-sath shanaishchar aur mangal ke sahyog se shiv se yuddh karne ka nirnay kiya. ab ghor yuddh shuru ho gaya. tinon lok bhaybhit ho uthe. anttah brahma ne hastakshep ka nirnay kiya. is bar chandrama jhuk gaya aur usne guru patni tara ko lauta diya. ek varsh bad tara ne ek kantivan putra ko janm diya. uska pita chandrama hi tha. chandrama ne us putra ko grahan kar liya aur uska nam budh rakha. budh ke vishay men aur bhi anek akhyan prapt hote hai. videshi pauranik akhyanon men bhi budh ke sanbandh men anek kathaen prapt hoti hain. yuropiya jan ise 'markri' ke nam se jante hain. budhvar vrat katha : ek samay ek vyakti apni patni ko vida karvane ke lie apni sasural gaya. vahan par kuch din rahne ke pashchat sas-sasur se vida karne ke lie kaha. kintu sab ne kaha ki aj budhvar ka din hai aj ke din gaman nahin karte hain. vah vyakti kisi prakar n mana aur hathadharmi karke budhvar ke din hi patni ko vida karakar apne nagar ko chal para. rah men uski patni ko pyas lagi to usne apne pati se kaha ki mujhe bahut jor se pyas lagi ho tab vah vyakti lota lekar rath se utarakar jal lene chala gaya. jaise hi vah vyakti pani lekar apni patni ke nikat aya to vah yah dekhakar ashcharya se chakit rah gaya ki thik apni hi jaisi surat tatha vaisi hi vesh-bhusha men ek vyakti uski patni ke sath rath men baitha hua hai. usne krodh se kaha ki tu kaun hai jo meri patni ke nikat baitha hua hai. dusra vyakti bola yah meri ke lie kshama mangi. tab budhdev ji prasann ho ashirvad dekar antardhyan ho gae. vah apni stri ko lekar ghar aya tatha budhvar ka vrat ve donon pati-patni niyampurvak karne lage. jo vyakti is katha ko shravan karta tatha sunta hai usko budhvar ke din yatra karne ka koi dosh nahin lagta, usko sarva prakar se sukhon ki prapti hoti hai. dan ki vastuen : svarn, kansya, steshnri ka saman, hare vastra, hari sabjiyan, mung, tota, ghi, hare rang ka patthar, panna, kela v hari vastuen. budh mantra : ¬ bran brin braun sah budhay namah. ¬ udbudhyasvagne prati jagrahi. tvamishtapurte sun srijethamay ch. asmintsadhasthe adhyuntarasmin vishve deva yajmanashchay sadit. chandra putray vidmahe rohini priyay dhimhi. tanno budhah prachodyat. saumyarupay vidmahe vaneshay dhimhi. tanno budhah prachodyat. ¬
