• Pooja Room should be made in the North-East region. The medicines should be kept in the Northern Ishan.
  • There should be no obstruction or vedha to the main door.
  • Sitting with face towards North and East is auspicious.
  • Heavy weight should not be put on the Northeast portion of the room or of the house.

  • Pooja room or toilet should not be made under the staircase. This place can be used as a godown.
  • A well in the centre of the house is very inauspicious.
  • Toilet or a place for fire in the Northeast corner creates financial paucity, mental tension and disputes among the family members.
  • Door made in the wrong place curtails prosperity and happiness.
  • Heavy articles like heavy furniture cupboards etc. should be placed in the South, West or the Southwest of the room or house.
  • Pictures and paintings of the gods should be placed on the Eastern wall.
  • Pictures of the departed elders should be placed not in the pooja room but on the Southern wall.
  • Unpleasant pictures of war, death and disease should not be kept in the house.

  • Outer staircase should not be in front of the main door or the main path.
  • Doors and windows should be more in the North and East and less in the South and West.
  • The house should be kept neat and tidy. Old clothes, news papers and other useless articles should be regularly disposed off from time to time.
